@iplante Sharon LePage Plante works at Eagle Hill Southport School (Southport, CT) an independent school for students with language-based learning disabilities, having also worked two years at Eagle Hill School in Greenwich, CT. As well as a classroom teacher, she is Director of Technology, focusing on how the tools of technology can support the learning of skills and enhance academic development. She is on the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools Commission on Technology and a member of the Council of Peers for the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences. She is also a co-founder of #edtechchat, a weekly Twitter chat and podcast series. She was the recipient of the 2014 Bammy Award for Special Needs Staff and has recently launched a new Learning Differently Radio podcast on Bam Radio Network.
@lcarroll94 Lorri Carroll is currently the Director of Lower School at Hamden Hall Country Day School (Hamden, CT). She has been at Hamden Hall for 21 years, beginning as a full-time upper school math teacher. After becoming intrigued with the impact of technology in education, she pursued a Masters degree in Educational Technology at Fairfield University in 1999. Her most recent appointment as the Director of Lower School allows her to blend her love of children with the joy of learning. Lorri has presented at several CAIS (Connecticut Association of Independent School) conferences, as well as at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools) Conferences. Lorri is also the moderator of the weekly Independent School Twitter Chat (#isedchat) on Thursday evenings at 9pm.
David Saunders (@designsaunders) is an educator and library media specialist working at Greenwich Country Day School. You can often find him in the Labrary makerspace tinkering with this or that. He’s a Google Certified Innovator, Trainer, and Administrator, Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, littleBits Global Chapter Leader, CUE Rockstar faculty member, and co-host of the weekly TechEducator podcast on the Teachercast Network. He’s also co-founder and program director of Apps University.
